Dear Parents and students,
Everyone except 2nd grade is done with the Q1 evaluation. The results showed that most of students studied for the test, but a few did not prepare well for the test. The language is continuous so please continue to study to create a solid foundation.
To all grades, please review counting numbers because we will use numbers a lot in the later lessons. To grades 5-8, I will post the template for a project to the homework on 11/6 since I will not see you for the next 3 weeks. You should follow the template to write “All about Myself”. Please read the instructions carefully. If you have any questions, please e-mail me.
From the oral survey, I know all of you are interested to have a pen pal from China. I am working on connecting to a school in China to see if the school is interested in making friends with us through e-mails, written mails, google talk, skype, etc. I will also consult with Mrs. Lambrecht about this project so please be patient and keep our fingers crossed.
If you are interested in Chinese food, here is good news. Two Chinese restaurants in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti are competing with each other. Both restaurants are near each other although their addresses are in two different cities. The “all you can eat buffet” is $4.99 for lunch and $7.99 for dinner per person. They also provide sushi, pasta, and American food. There is a little difference: Hibachi can stir fry food for you in front of you and Asia City offers sashimi (raw fish) during dinner. You can take M12 all the way to the restaurants. The driving mileage from our school to the restaurant is about 22 miles. The information is in the following:
1. Hibachi Grill &supreme Buffet.

2. Asia City

I will see grades 1-4 this Thursday.
