Dear parents and students,
I hope all of you had a restful and joyful spring break!
I am busy recruiting and preparing students for the 2013 Michigan China Quiz Bowl. The final decision is for one team to enter into the event. The participants are Carla, Ellen, Cameron, Casey, and Zane. I have given the material for the competition for them to study on a daily basis. I have canceled the Group Dance Performance due to the lack of participants and the preparation time but we can still do it next year. As for the year of snake poster contest, I registered 3 teams. They are: Team 1 Nuala and Elise, Team 2 Michael and Robert (Dominic, you can join this team to contribute your talent), and Team 3 Alejardra and Lauren. Please leave space for writing characters (we can work on that on 4/12). We will also display our 2013 Chinese New Year poster as a demo for the event. I am sorry that I did not receive any responses from 8th graders. The event is on 4/13, if any of you are available and would like to go, several Chinese culture programs will perform at around noon time. It is open to public. For details, check the link at http://clasweb.clas.wayne.edu/ci/ChinaQuizBowl.
I also posted the study material for MCQB on this webpage under the title of “2013 MCQB”, you are welcome to go through the study process to experience even you are not going to the event. We can be the supporters to them. Thank you.
The pen pals from China have responded to us. The files are very big. I will schedule the computer room to use with Mrs. Pakron soon. Please pay attention on the dates and look forward to reading the letters. I attached a pen pal letter here.
Have you studied your food vocabulary and used them in your daily life? Please review them since we are going to use those words with the learned materials to edit a restaurant skit as our final project.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon!
